Flat Wafer Brushes
Flat wafers use a flat ring or channel and are commonly stacked with separate spacers. They suit road, snow and attachment brooms designed for this ring-and-spacer arrangement.

We manufacture custom wafer brushes for road sweepers, snow sweepers, runway equipment and sweeper attachments.
Flat, convoluted, tufted wide-face and angled designs are available in synthetic filament, steel wire or mixed fill. We produce individual rings and complete replacement sets to drawing or sample.

A wafer brush is an individual circular brush ring installed with other wafers along a sweeper arbor or core. The stacked wafers form the wide cylindrical working face of a road, snow or attachment broom.
Brush Ring Types

Flat wafers use a flat ring or channel and are commonly stacked with separate spacers. They suit road, snow and attachment brooms designed for this ring-and-spacer arrangement.

Convoluted or wavy wafers use a formed ring that provides spacing as adjacent sections nest along the core. These are commonly supplied as spacerless designs, with the wave pitch and orientation matched to the broom assembly.

Filament bundles are set into a wider molded ring body. We manufacture custom wide-face rings, including designs that assemble without separate spacers, for machines using this replacement system.

The channel is angled so the bristles work in a sloped direction. These rings serve selected sweeping, agricultural collection and gutter-sweeping arrangements, with the angle made to the required installation.

Ring & Drive Interface
The inside diameter must fit the core, and the drive features must match its drive arrangement. Matching the ID alone does not establish fit.
Fill Selection
Filament diameter, trim and color can be customized.
Replacement Set Planning
Ring width, spacing and end retention together determine how a set fills the working length of the core:
ring and spacer widths set the spacing between brush sections.
wave pitch and nesting orientation affect the assembled length.
the ring-body width determines the number of sections.
the poly/wire sequence determines how many rings of each fill are needed.
Use the original stack arrangement as the starting point when ordering a replacement set.

Drawing & Sample Production
Brushcustom manufactures from drawings or samples for equipment manufacturers, replacement-parts distributors and maintenance teams. Supply can be organized by individual ring quantity or complete replacement sets, with the packing quantity agreed for each order.

Complete gas-powered walk-behind sweepers and power brooms are also available for selected projects. Machine supply is quoted separately from replacement brush rings, based on the working width, power configuration and application.

Purchasing Questions
Not automatically. A change of construction can alter the ring count, spacing and drive engagement. Check the core and complete stack arrangement before converting; using the same number of rings may leave the broom incorrectly filled.
PP is a common choice for loose debris and snow. Steel wire provides stronger agitation for compacted material, where the surface and machine permit it. Mixed stacks combine poly sweeping action with wire agitation. Follow the equipment requirements and avoid wire where loose metal fragments are prohibited.
There is no single count based on broom length alone. Use the existing complete stack count when replacing like for like, or calculate it from the stack drawing using ring width, spacers or wave pitch, and the end-retaining arrangement.
Yes, as starting references. The model helps identify the assembly, and a worn sample can show the ring and drive features. Worn bristles do not show the original working OD; confirm that dimension from the original drawing, part specification or an unworn sample.
Yes. We supply individual rings and sets containing the agreed number and mix of wafers for one broom. A wafer set does not automatically include spacers, a shaft, core or mounting hardware; any additional items must be listed in the quotation.
