Send Your DrawingWhat Is a Brush Furnace Roll?
A brush furnace roll is a high-temperature transport roll covered with dense, heat-resistant wire.
It supports steel, stainless steel, aluminium, or other metal strip and plate while helping reduce pick-up, surface marking, and unstable tracking in the specified furnace position.

Brush Furnace Roll Applications
Roll construction is reviewed against the strip or plate material, furnace position, line speed, load, atmosphere, and contact conditions.

Carbon-steel continuous annealing and galvanizing lines
Electrical steel annealing lines
Stainless steel annealing lines
Heavy plate transport outside furnaces
Other horizontal strip and plate heat-treatment lines

310S Stainless Steel Wire
Dense 310S stainless steel wire fill provides a heat-resistant working surface for furnace and metal-strip transport applications. Wire diameter, trim length, density, and profile are matched to the approved roller construction and operating conditions.
The final approved operating temperature must be confirmed from the furnace temperature, atmosphere, exposure time, load, line speed, contact conditions, and complete roller design.
Custom Furnace Roll Construction
Complete new rollers and refurbished existing shafts can be manufactured to an approved drawing for OEM, replacement, and repeat production.
- Overall roller length up to 6 m, subject to drawing and transport review
- Custom outside diameter and working face length
- Specified wire diameter, trim, density, and surface profile
- Stainless shaft, tube, journal, flange, and mounting details to drawing
- Dry-use or internally cooled roller construction
- Old-shaft inspection, re-brushing, and refurbishment when suitable
- Repeatable batch production from the approved drawing
- Material certification, dimensional inspection, and dynamic balancing reports

Details to Confirm for Production

Frequently Asked Questions
Technical points to confirm before a brush furnace roll is approved for production.
What is the maximum operating temperature?
There is no single unconditional temperature rating for the complete roller. The approved limit depends on the furnace zone, exposure time, atmosphere, load, line speed, contact conditions, wire specification, and complete roller construction.
Can you manufacture a brush furnace roll up to 6 metres long?
Yes. An overall length of up to 6 metres can be reviewed, subject to the drawing, manufacturing method, balancing requirement, packing, and transport conditions.
Can you match an existing furnace roll?
Yes. New OEM or replacement rollers can be produced from an approved drawing or a measured sample after the dimensions, materials, interfaces, and operating conditions have been confirmed.
Which dimensions are required for a quotation?
Provide the overall length, working face length, outside diameter, shaft or tube dimensions, journals, flanges, mounting details, wire specification, tolerances, and quantity.
Can you supply dry-use and internally cooled furnace rolls?
Yes. Both constructions can be reviewed. Cooling passages, connections, flow requirements, and operating conditions must be defined in the drawing and project information.
Can you re-brush or refurbish an existing shaft?
Yes, when the existing shaft is suitable. We can remove the worn covering, inspect the shaft, and re-brush or refurbish it to the approved specification. Send the drawing and current shaft condition for review.
Which inspection documents are available?
310S material certification, dimensional inspection records, and dynamic balancing reports can be supplied when specified during quotation.
