Data Center Brush Applications

Brush components keep cable access available while covering unused space around cable bundles. They can be customized for the following installation positions.

  1. Rack-Mount Cable Pass-Through Panels

1U, 2U, and custom rack brush panels provide a defined cable route between rack spaces or into an enclosure. Open or closed frames and single or opposing brush layouts can be produced to the rack drawing.

  2. Cabinet Cable Entry Openings

Brush panels and strip brush assemblies cover cable cutouts in cabinet roofs, bases, side panels, and mounting-rail areas. Opening size, mounting holes, panel material, finish, and brush position can be customized.

  3. Raised-Floor Cable Openings

Opposing brush strips can be incorporated into custom grommet or panel assemblies for cable penetrations in raised-floor tiles. Split or open configurations can be reviewed for installation around existing cable bundles.

  4. Aisle Containment & Cable Pathways

Straight or flexible strip brushes can cover irregular openings where cables and cable trays pass through containment roofs, doors, or end-of-row barriers while retaining cable access.

FAQ

What is the difference between a brush panel and a blanking panel?

A brush panel allows cables to pass through a rack opening. A blanking panel closes an unused rack space without a cable path. They perform different functions and may be used together.

Can a brush panel be installed around existing cables?

Open-frame, split, or opposing-brush configurations can be reviewed for retrofit installation. The existing cable bundle and available mounting space must be shown on the drawing.

Are brush grommets dust filters?

No. Brush grommets can reduce open gaps and help limit larger debris entering around cables, but they are not rated particulate or HEPA filters.

Can flame-retardant materials be supplied?

Yes. Flame-retardant PA6 filament and suitable panel materials can be reviewed when the required standard, material grade, test method, and documentation are specified.
